PREPERATION TIPS.

Some of us have no problem providing a blood sample, and some of us may need a little preparation. If this is you, here are some pointers on how to prepare for a venipuncture.

  1.  Drink plenty of water. It is important to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water unless otherwise instructed not to by your physician.

  2. Stay warm. Keep your body warm by wearing warm clothing.

  3. Move around. Get your blood pumping by taking a walk.

  4. Talk to your Phlebotomist. You know your body. Let us know where you are most successful when collecting samples.
